Plans/dreams/goals you have, Day 18 of my 30 Day Blog Challenge

It’s so hard to answer questions like this one because I have plans, dreams, and goals in all areas of my life.  So I’m going to break it down into 3 categories: Family, Career and Personal.

Family:

I want to be able to provide my daughter a stable and happy life.  A life that she can excel in.  I want her to have every opportunity possible and don’t want to hinder her at all do to financial woes or any other reason.  I’d like her to grow up to be confident in herself and her ability to be anything she wants to be.  It is very important to me that she accepts herself and loves herself for who she is, as this was something I have never felt.

I’d also like my hubby and I to be happy and content in our life.  I’d like to be a place where we don’t have to worry about money and debt.  I don’t need to be rich, I could care less about that, I just want to be comfortable.  I’d like to be able to live as stress-free as possible.

Oh and I’d like to have someone coming to clean the house once a week, so I can have more free time to spend with my family.  Plus, selfishly, I just really don’t want to spend a whole lot of time on that.  LOL

Career:

Within the next year I’d like to be promoted to a senior role (Quality Assurance specialist) and within the next 5 years I’d like to be promoted to QA Lead.  However, I’d also like to continue learning more about performance testing and possibly head my career in that direction.  If I do go the performance testing route my timeframe would change a bit, as I’m just learning it, but I’d like to follow the same promotion route.

Over the next 2 years I’d also like to get QA certified and possibly even SQL certified.

Personal:

I’d like to continue to learn about myself  (blogging is proving to be a big help with this) and eventually learn to love and accept myself for who I am.  It’s something I’ve struggled with my entire life…one of these days I’m going to get there.  I’d also like to continue to grow as a mother, so I can be the best mom I can be to my daughter.

As for the dream category, I’d like to visit Ireland…not to mention about a 100 other places, but Ireland is at the very top of the list. 🙂
